BALDACCHINO CELLARS

BALDACCHINO CELLARS

About Us

Italian for “canopy,” a baldacchino is used to provide a shelter for treasured items in surroundings as grand as cathedrals, and as humble as grape vines. Our wines are created to be enjoyed with the finest meals or simply by themselves and are meant to evoke the daily celebrations, large and small, that compose la dolce vita.

OUR STORY

You don’t have to be Italian to understand the joy of a lifestyle that finds reasons for celebration — large or small — in daily living. Family, friends, good food, and the beauty that surrounds us every day are all reasons to celebrate – and what better to accompany those moments than a great glass of wine.

At Baldacchino Cellars, our aim is to make the wines to pair with those celebrations, and bring them to the American table, patio or picnic basket. We carefully source fruit from the top vineyards in the American West, and craft them in the style of wines that will make you feel you are living la dolce vita, whether you enjoy them at a big Sunday dinner with family, or on a sunny afternoon in the park with someone special, or in the glass when your only companion is peaceful solitude.

Join us in celebration and open a bottle of Baldacchino Cellars wine. Per la tua buona salute!

Tracey Stone - Co-Owner and Winemaker

Tracey Stone, Co-Owner & Winemaker

A graduate of the Northwest Wine Academy, Tracey’s first education in wine came from her mother Helen, whose long career as a server at some of America’s finest restaurants gave her a nose, palate and passion for fine wine, all three of which her daughter inherited.  Before pursuing her degree in wine production, Tracey spent nearly a decade balancing a successful career in tech marketing with work in the wine industry, primarily in guest education and services at Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville, Washington.

In 2019, Tracey and her husband Paul started Baldacchino Cellars. Inspired by Paul’s Italian heritage and their shared love of the fruits of America’s West coast vineyards, they began the winery to capture a concept in a bottle – be inspired by the best loved wines of Italy, carefully select grapes from the best American vineyards and craft them into wines that evoke the experiences and memories of the Italian way of life.

Paul Stone, Co-Owner,
Marketing and Sales

In addition to years of experience in marketing leadership roles in the tech and healthcare industries, Paul brings his Italian background and Aunt’s beloved sauce recipe to the Baldacchino Cellars enterprise. Paul grew up on foods and traditions rooted in his family’s native Southern Italian region of Puglia, sometimes creatively and deliciously adapted for the soil, climate and broader cultural influences of his grandparents’ adopted homeland of Northern California.

The genesis of Baldacchino Cellars lies in this happy marriage of old world traditions and new world influences, and he couldn’t be more delighted by the opportunity to try to capture this idea in some great bottles of wine.
